Youngsters throughout Western Australia are enjoying Minecraft collectively due to a server run by a bunch of native libraries.

John Geijsman, the early childhood applications officer at Fremantle Library, began a small Minecraft server for his Coder Dojo in October 2019.
“Then COVID hit and each library within the state closed its doorways. They had been in search of issues to offer to their group and I advised them about our Minecraft server and it’s type of grown since that,” says John.
To start with the LibraryCraft server may solely host 10 gamers at a time.
It has since grown, now internet hosting 240 registered gamers with a core group of 60 regulars.
“The friendships that we’ve seen throughout the state have been fairly thrilling. We’ve bought this nice core group of gamers … it’s been actually particular,” says John.
